SOME OF OUR FAVORITE LINKS OF INTEREST

The Greenbrier County Convention and Visitor's Bureau

Located just south of I-64 close to the Hampton Inn, this Convention and Visitor's Bureau does a great job promoting the area.  If you need to know anything about the County of Greenbrier, this is the first place to start.  They promote all of the attractions and points of interest.  I suggest that you visit this spot to get the links for many spots in the area.

The State Fair of West Virginia

Located in the village of Fairlea, The State Fair of West Virginia is the biggest event in the region.  Every year in August over 200,000 make their way through the gates of this 9 day event to enjoy rides, food, horseracing, livestock shows, live entertainment, and just pure fun.  This fair is a great tradition for many of us who have lived here all of our life.  Of course the fairgrounds are used for many other activities throughout the year.  Just go to their site for all of the information.

(PS-While you are at the fair you will want to check out the Mountaineer Diner.  We run this diner which features good diner food, including our Mountaineer Burger.  Want a great breakfast while at the fair, you will want to try the Mountaineer Diner.  )

Carnegie Hall

Every musician dreams of playing Carnegie Hall, but it is usually the one in New York they are talking.  Carnegie Hall in Lewisburg also has great acts and performers grace their stage.  One only has to visit their web site to stand in amazement of all that takes place in this small community on this Carnegie Hall Stage.  The eclectic mix of entertainment is surely mind-boggling.

Greenbrier Valley Theater

Located in the heart of Lewisburg, this local theater offers quality live theater in a small town atmosphere.  This theater would be a jewel for a large metropolitan community to boast about in their promotions of their community.  It is and has been a supported and expected part of the life of this community for many years.  It must be visited during a stay in the area.

Shuck Memorial Baptist Church & West Point Baptist Church

Hey I must mentioned these two churches because I pastor both of them.  These are great little ecumenical churches here in valley.  West Point is a small family church located in the community of Asbury.  Shuck is a larger church found in downtown Lewisburg.  Both churches are very open and inclusive.  They want you to feel like that this is a place for you to worship not a place for you to be judged.

West Virginia Tourism

There are so many things that the State of West Virginia has to offer to the traveler.  There are lots of  places to visit and things to do.  This is a great site to receive information concerning such things.
